FAQ/Support

How Can I Determine If You Can Make Something?

You can use any of our ‘contact us’ forms, or the Upload RFQ button at the top right corner of the web site to send us a model or drawing.  We can then provide you a quick response.

What is the Largest Size Part You can Make?

The PERFECT-3D printers are sized to produce a single-piece of approximately 14″ cube. However, many larger parts can be assembled from smaller printed components, thus allowing for sizes up to a 48″ cube.

How Long Does it Take to Get a Custom Ceramic Part?

Since ceramic parts must undergo post-processing after printing, which includes sintering of the ceramic powders, it takes at least one week to get a custom ceramic component.

What Ceramic Material is Used?

PERFECT-3D uses a proprietary mixture of silica, alumina, and zirconia.

What 3D Printing Technology is Used?

PERFECT-3D uses vat photopolymerization, which is based on digital light processing technology.

5 Secrets of Ceramic Additive Manufacturing

Abstract:   Most people are probably not aware that Additive Manufacturing (AM) was invented more than 30 years ago. Even with that length of time, AM remains a technology that is just now gaining acceptance worldwide in the aerospace, automotive, and medical industries. One area where AM is still in relative infancy is making ceramic components. One of the primary challenges with Stereolithography-based ceramic AM is the fact that the material is actually a slurry that consists of ceramic powder suspended in a photo-reactive resin. This slurry adds complexity to the AM process because the viscosity and suspension of particles are additional variables that have to be managed (click image on the right to download white paper).
